Holy Cross Mercy School is a Catholic School under the patronage of the Bishop of Kerry; it has 14 mainstream classes, Special Education teachers and Language Support teachers. The Presentation Monastery NS is a Catholic school for boys, situated in the heart of Killarney town. The school is under the Patronage of the Bishop of Kerry. It has 5 mainstream classes, special education classes, learning support and language support teachers. The first Presentation Monastery School was opened by the Presentation Brothers in 1838 on College Street. The school later moved to the Pugin designed Old Monastery on New Road, which is now a daycare centre run by the Kerry Parents and Friends. The present school building was opened in 1958 and extensively refurbished over the last few years.
The school caters for boys from 2nd to 6th class. Our Mission Statement states that we aim to create a school where each child achieves his full potential as a well rounded, responsible member of society through encouragement and example; where training of the child includes the spiritual, intellectual, moral, physical and social aspects of human development; where a love of learning and
